Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by a senior editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered a good fit will be approved for publication or sent for final editor review before a decision is made on whether they will be accepted or rejected. It is possible that changes will be recommended - those that are imperative for publication approval (i.e., use of the template, found here: Template) and those that are merely friendly suggestions to be taken or left at the author's discretion.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents, and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country. Conceptual papers or non-human subjects research does not need ethical oversight; however, if authors are unsure and would like a determination, CORALS LLC's IRB can assist (although fees apply).

An editor may reject a submission if it does not meet the minimum standards of quality. Consider whether a professional in your field would consider this well-communicated, useful, and would care about the insights. Ensure that the article is professional, contains no immoral or unethical content, and was written by humans. Any content generated by AI must be marked as such, following the APA guidelines (no more than 10% of the article should be so generated). Editing tools that utilize AI are not subject to this caution. Purposefully defamatory, discriminatory, or inflammatory content will not be published.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined above.
  • This submission, as written, has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration. Articles that have been built off of previously published research, dissertations, theses, or capstone projects, are not considered "previously published" in this sense. Please disclose that, however, so we recognize the issue when running authentication checks.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
  • The content is not defamatory, inflammatory, immoral, or unethical.
  • Any use of AI-generated text has been clearly marked, cited, and is less than 10% of the article text.
